?Irish Excursion 2020

Anyone fancy a European event in 2020? Next year the Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven in the Republic of Ireland is celebrating its 300th anniversary with a number of events through the summer. If we are interested the Club are minded to invite us to an Osprey event (to a format that suits us) on the week commencing 2nd August in parallel with the National 18 Class Championships.

Classic Boat Article

Classic Boat magazine have an article on the Osprey. Alan Henderson & Oscar Chess helped them with the article.

Two Ospreys were on show at the event. Mick Greenland's Grey & Yellow boat on the Osprey Class stand with a custom fit and lots of string! On the Hartley Boats stand was the new boat for John Shenton in white or grey [can't tell from the photos] with Teal highlights [centreboard case, foredeck & new cassette rudder stock.

Mick's boat was commended in the Y&Y Concours d'Elegance competition and was mentioned as such in the recent Sailjuice podcast.

The boat on the Hartley stand, was the new standard layout Mark V. It has single pole, and simpler systems, hence cleaner layout, and better pricing. Carbon spars and adjustable rigging were
included in that boat.

Some photos of both boats are below.
